Holiday for the whole family – full of fun and relaxation
At Camping Le Clou, everything is about enjoying time together. Whether you are looking for an active holiday or prefer to relax in the sun, you can do both here.
The animation team organises plenty of fun activities for children, both on the campsite and in the beautiful surroundings of the Dordogne. Think of sporty canoe trips, yoga, walks, or cosy family evenings with food and music.
While the children enjoy themselves with their new friends, you can fully unwind at the swimming pool, enjoy a massage, or relax with a lovely glass of wine during our table d’hôte.
Kids’ Entertainment
During the high season, our team organises a number of activities almost every day, primarily for children. In the morning, there are usually arts and crafts sessions on the terrace, where parents can enjoy a nice cappuccino or latte. At the beginning of the evening, we host a larger activity such as a children's disco, variety night, treasure hunt, or football tournament. There's something for everyone!
Wine Tasting at the Campsite
At Camping Le Clou, we regularly organise a cosy wine tasting for our guests. During this relaxed afternoon, you will discover delicious wines from the Dordogne and the surrounding regions. Our hostess is happy to tell you more about the different grape varieties, the craftsmanship, and the stories behind each bottle.
It is a lovely social moment to enjoy together, discover new flavours, and perhaps even take your favourite wine home with you. Perfect for wine lovers and curious beginners alike.
Concerts and special nights
During the high season, Thursday evenings are extra lively on the terrace at Camping Le Clou. Enjoy live music with alternating performances by different bands. Our regular band, Les Voizins de Palier, known from The Voice France, plays every other week and always creates a wonderful atmosphere.
Enjoy a delicious dinner on the terrace, listen to the music or join in for a dance. A proven recipe for a relaxed summer evening. And do not worry, around 10:30 p.m. peace and quiet return to the campsite.
Canoeing on the Dordogne River
The most beautiful way to discover the Dordogne is from the water. From Camping Le Clou, we organise a fun family canoe trip every Wednesday. Together you will paddle past impressive castles and picturesque villages, with plenty of lovely spots along the way to stop for a refreshing swim or a picnic by the river bank.
A relaxing day full of nature, adventure and fun, suitable for everyone aged 5 and up.
Massages
A massage during your holiday is pure relaxation. In a specially designed chalet at Camping Le Clou, you can fully unwind in a calm setting with soft music and wonderful aromas.

Yoga
Adults can also truly unwind at Camping Le Clou. We regularly organise yoga classes, usually in the fresh morning air. The sessions are easy to follow and suitable for everyone, no experience is required.
Surrounded by nature and with views over the Dordogne, this is a wonderful moment to relax, clear your mind and start the day in a calm and peaceful way.
Spring & Late Summer at Camping Le Clou
In the early and late season, there is a calm and friendly atmosphere at Camping Le Clou. During these periods, the campsite is mainly visited by young families and couples who enjoy travelling outside the busy high season. In spring everything is fresh and green, and well into September the weather is usually pleasant and sunny, perfect for enjoying the Dordogne.
The swimming pools, bar and restaurant remain open, and we often join our guests ourselves at the table d’hôte for a cosy evening. There is more time for personal contact, a friendly chat and that real campsite feeling. During this period we also organise enjoyable activities, such as group walks or a fun game of pétanque.
